Palencia Urban Project 2007-20013

The Urban initiative of the European Commission, financed with F.E.D.E.R funds, is dedicated to the economic and social regeneration of its towns and neighborhoods. The objective is to promote an integrated plan of sustainable urban development. Palencia presented the project, being one of the 43 beneficiary towns. The action covers “El Cristo” and “Ave María” neighborhoods. It has a total of 10 actions including the renovation of buildings, the abolition of architectural barriers, the establishment of cycle lanes, indoor sports hall, new street lighting which eliminates lighting contamination and uses solar energy, etc.

Reunión con la Presidenta de la Asociación de Vecinos de El Cristo.

El pasado miércoles 4 de Agosto, tuvo lugar una reunión, en las dependencias del Ayuntamiento, con las representantes de la Asociación de Vecinos del Barrio de El Cristo. El objetivo de dicha reunión fue informar sobre el estado del Proyecto Urban, así como el cambio de impresiones sobre los efectos que está teniendo en los vecinos de la Zona Urban. Asistieron, por parte del Ayuntamiento de Palencia, Yolanda Gómez, Concejala de Medioambiente, Jesús Merino, Concejal de Obras y María Isabel del Moral, Gestora del Proyecto.
